Asheville melodic noise band Wednesday announce signing to Dead Oceans and release sprawling 8 minute epic 'Bull Believer'. After last year's critically acclaimed debut Twin Plagues the band led by singer Karly Hartzman show no signs of slowing down, 'Bull Believer' is a turbulent journey through Sonic Youth-esque feedback squalls and moments of gentle slowcore, ebbing between melody and dissonance before eventually building into a cacophonous wall of sound and strangled screams. “This song is an excuse for me to scream on stage, an outlet for the anger and sadness that has been collected by the current and past versions of myself,” Karly said in a statement. “An offering to myself of a brief moment of release from being tolerant of the cruelty of life: feels like cutting my hair to let go of the history it holds.” Check out the video by Josh Finck. -Toby Evans-Jesra
